Understanding the Mormon church can be quite a difficult task because what seems to be on the surface is really not what it is when one starts to study it further. Many individuals will say that they are not aware of the Mormon church but if you have any knowledge of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints then yes you do know of the Mormons.

This was an organization that was actually formed in 1830. The biggest stance of this particular church is that they believe that they are the only restored Church of Christ and this was all to have taken place through a revelation of Joseph Smith there past leader. What the Mormons believe is that prior to the formation of this church that the entire world was caught up in massive religious confusion called the great apostasy. This was a time where people were living in darkness and it wasn\’t till the Mormon church came along where their church put things back on track again.

One of the frustrations that the Mormon Church runs into is that they believe that too often there is misinformation about them and this is leading people to many misconceptions. This is the reason that most individuals that are not of the Mormon belief don\’t understand what position they take in Christianity or their doctrine. In many ways the Mormon church uses the same vocabulary as what the Christian church believes as well. The biggest out of many discrepancies according to the Christian belief is that they believe that Joseph Smith was a God himself.

One of the things that the Mormon Church believe or promote is that there are many other religions that share the same doctrines as theirs and therefore are entitled to the same salvation. They will often in their approach to preaching their beliefs will encourage individuals to embrace the true Church of Jesus Christ. This not necessarily referring to the Church person with whom they are talking to but to the Latter-day Saints Church because they believe that this is the one that Jesus restored through Joseph Smith. They firmly believe that this is the concept that Jesus taught when he was here on earth and therefore has to be the true church.

It\’s interesting to note that after the supposed prophecy of Joseph Smith he wrote 13 articles on faith. What these articles pertain to are now what the basic Mormon beliefs center on. Basically the beliefs are broke down into several categories such as the Church of Jesus Christ, gospel and principles, family purpose ,and the life and nature of God. The Mormons believe that after the last apostle died that there was no authority left to lead the Church and that all of the doctrines that Jesus had taught were changed over the years and eventually this led into living in darkness.

Naturally everybody is entitled to their own opinions and their own beliefs. The same is applicable to the Mormons. If they so choose to follow the doctrine of Joseph Smith then they have that right. Christianity in its authority takes offense that the Church of Latter-Day Saints is standing on the basics of Christianity and yet have taken all those basics and misconstrued them into what they feel is the true gospel.

For those who don\’t know yet, the Book of Mormon was first published in 1830 by a certain Joseph Smith Jr., who claimed to have found gold plates that he discovered buried (in 1823) near his home at Manchester NY. Joseph also stated that a divine being literally guided him to the plates. The plates were encrypted in something similar to ancient Egyptian, which took Joseph the good part of seven years to decipher. The book speaks of the story of Adam and Eve, and also the last days, very much like the Bible does. However, as we will see – there are also striking differences between classic Christianity and Mormonism.

This publication led to the establishment of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, and its members are referred to as Mormons or Latter Day Saints. As with any new doctrine, Mormonism was, and still is, often frowned upon by the classic believers and some even refer to Mormonism as evil. On the other hand, the Mormons claim that they do not preach anything out of context as far as the Bible goes, and are themselves said believers of the Bible as well. The book of Mormon, they claim compliments the Bible and not oppose it.

The Church of Latter Day Saints having been initiated in America, Mormonism obviously has a faithful following in the country – more than any other country to date, in fact. However, the religion has spread far and wide, thanks to the undying (and often frowned upon) efforts of Mormon \’missionaries\’. Mormonism is propagated more through word of mouth than any other methodical approach, and their seemingly hush-hush meets sometimes leads to the belief that Mormonism is a cult, or more of a fraternity than a true religion.

The most striking difference between classic Christianity and Mormonism is probably the difference in opinion on God. Mormons believe in different forms of the Supreme Being, even a man who attained enlightenment and practiced to perfection before being escalated into a state of godliness.

They believe in a God who has flesh and blood, and even a wife…The bible on the other hand clearly speaks of ONE Supreme Being, the creator of the universe and all things in it. Another touchy aspect of the Mormon-Christian arguments is the Mormon belief that the Bible probably has more than a few errors, and the ONE sacred and untouched text is the Book of Mormon. In answer, Christians believe that it is blasphemy to suggest such a thing!

One cannot point the finger at the T’Wolves anymore.

David Kahn took Ricky Rubio at face value… that he wanted to come to the NBA. Although when everything hit the fan… after every one of the strings were pulled and the hoops taken care of… Ricky Rubio betrayed the team.

“Playing for the Timberwolves might have just convoluted my existence a lot. It was a danger and I did not look at it so definitely,” Rubio insisted. “My main concern was the National Basketball Association and it was out of the question for the Minnesota Timberwolves to pay my buyout clause, so I sought to remain house.”

Oh… what a baby. It might have convoluted your life. You mean participating in the American basketball scene and achieving the alleged dream you have? And that part about lacking the ability to assume the takeover:

Kahn said Rubio’s negotiator, Dan Fegan, provided a package of sponsorship deals and sponsorships that helped cause the basketball deal desirable enough for Rubio and Joventut to enter into a deal last weekend.Rubio proclaims the agreement came with too many tests… even although it is his agent that came up with the agreement.

The team took a flyer on this young talent… and they at long last worked out an agreement to let him play in the league. However when it came down to it… he got frightened. Hey… it is his prerogative. You don’t need to play where you don’t aspire to, Ricky.

Only don’t say something and do something completely different. Do not opt out since you do not like the team that chose you. This is part of the package.

It is the same agreement any person else makes. In return for entering the big time, you might need to work somewhere you don’t hope to play. You think Blake Griffin is psyched playing for the Los Angeles Clippers? Or fellow Spaniard Pau Gasol was always happy about living in Tennessee for so many seasons? That’s just the way it goes.
