Tired of thinking about selling something all day? Is there nothing new to sell much these days? Don’t have the effort for innovation or you are simply just bored?
You should start to being a merchant then. This is a mercantile trade of buying things from people at a discounted price and then earning a profit by selling them to people of other locales. Just like how the merchants did it in the olden times.
This is especially good if you have a transport, an active directory of all fairs and festivals happening around the country or state (country would be better, of course, you’d have to consider the fare expenses too, especially with state-to-state traveling), a knack for customer relations and good mathematical ability. Like how much will you profit over your expenses, your cost? If you do this, will you gain more or lose some?
You would be traveling, A LOT. Of course, if you’re really that good, and the products you bought really live up to their name, then have a go for it, much better if you realize you’re good at this and then consider a shift in careers. That way, you can make a map of yearly activities for yourself.
Consider the wares you are going to sell too. Have a good stock and supply for upcoming events when you have established yourself. Earn a good reputation with your “suppliers” (that means the people you brought your good from) because they will be your “customers” once you have moved on to the next festival. Avoid perishables (especially food) unless you’re sure you can sell it.
It would definitely work if your charm can sell ice to Eskimos. But you really don’t have to be THAT good. Success is not an overnight thing. Try and try, improve and learn the ropes, the tricks of the trade. If you are forthright dedicated to this, you are sure to succeed.
A Little History About World No Tobacco Day
The World Health Organization (WHO) created World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) in 1987 as a way to bring worldwide attention to the tobacco epidemic we’re up against on the planet today. The first World No Tobacco Day was celebrated on April 7, 1987. Since then, it has been observed on May 31st of every year.
Graphic Tobacco Health Warnings Do Work:
Findings of studies conducted in Brazil, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand reviewing the effects graphic images on tobacco packaging have on smokers are encouraging.
- All countries saw an increase in the attention smokers gave to the health risks associated with tobacco use.
- All countries reported that large numbers of smokers said the pictorial health warnings on cigarette packs made them want to quit smoking.
- Malaysia reported that upwards of 25% of smokers polled smoked less at home because of the warnings
- Singapore reported that one in six smokers said they stopped smoking in front of children because of the warnings.

Happy Celebrating Mother’s Day
The modern Mother’s Day holiday was created by Anna Jarvis as a day for each family to honor its mother, and it’s now celebrated on various days in many places around the world. It complements Father’s Day, the celebration honoring fathers.
This holiday is relatively modern, being created at the start of the 20th century, and should not be confused with the early pagan and Christian traditions honoring mothers, or with the 16th century celebration of Mothering Sunday, which is also known as Mother’s Day in the UK.
In most countries the Mother’s Day celebration is a recent holiday derived from the original US celebration. Exceptions are, for example, the Mothering Sunday holiday in the UK.
Mother’s Day is celebrated on different days throughout the world. Examining the trends in Google searches for the term “mother’s day” shows two primary results, the smaller one on the fourth Sunday in Lent, from the British tradition of Mothering Sunday (it is also called ladies day and women’s day), and the larger one on the second Sunday in May.
The extent of the celebrations varies greatly. In some countries, it is potentially offensive to one’s mother not to mark Mother’s Day. In others, it is a little-known festival celebrated mainly by immigrants, or covered by the media as a taste of foreign culture (compare the celebrations of Diwali in the UK and the United States).

Is Valentine’s Day Such A Big Thing To You?
Ten years ago if you had asked someone what Valentines meant to them they would probably tell you that it was really no big deal. It might have been important for a florist who has a promotion or a local restaurant that offers roses with its dinner but there was never a big deal about it and never too much money, time and effort that was spent on it.
However, these days Valentines Day is such a big thing that you would have to be living on the moon if you didnt know anything about it. As early as December, you will be surrounded by advertisements, promotions, special offers and gift ideas in newspapers, on TV, on radio, on the Internet – basically everywhere you turn.
For some people all this hype is way too much and they prefer to ignore the slightest insinuation that Valentines Day is on its way. Others will find it quite depressing that they see or hear so much about it everywhere, considering that they are actually single and find that they will have no one to celebrate it with.
Contrary to popular belief though, Valentines Day is about love and not necessarily among couples only. It can also be shared amongst family, friends and anyone you would like to share love with. You can be 9 or 90 but love is something we all feel and it is definitely something we all need in both small and big ways. It keeps us happy so theres definitely no use in letting the commercial aspects of Valentines actually ruin this thought for you.
A simple Im thinking of you to Mum, you mean a lot to me can make a considerable difference in any ones life, regardless of whether you are the giver or the recipient.

Happy Prosperous Chinese Ox Year 2009

The Sign Of The Ox
People born under the sign of the Ox or Buffalo usually have strong codes and work ethics. This can lead to a tendency to be a workaholic, and they should make an effort to relax more. Ox people are usually strong and robust, and according to ancient wisdom, they should be blessed with long lives.
The Ox home is his castle where he finds relaxation and peace from the everyday hustle and bustle of his career or responsibilities. He also enjoys spending much time in planting gardens and trees. He generally prefers to decorate his home comfortably with nature colors.
Able, ethical and aware, co-workers of the Ox can depend on their eyes for details. Because they are so well organized, they are better suited for specialized positions and prefer to work in large companies. They work best when they work alone since they can be unhappy when participating in a large group.
